Instructions

In this activity, you’ll get to sharpen your descriptive writing skills using sensory verbs. Remember, sensory verbs are action words related to our five senses: sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch. Your challenge is to craft sentences for each scenario using the provided prompts. Be creative, and aim to use good vocabulary that vividly describes each experience. Think about how you can paint a picture with words so that anyone reading can imagine exactly what you’re sensing.

Example:

Scenario: Walking through a Forest

Prompt: Describe the sounds you hear while walking through the tranquil forest.

Sentence Starter: “As I walk through the forest, I hear…”
